Hello, and welcome to STAR Catholic Outreach online!  My name is Courtney Rebke and I am the Math/Science/CTS facilitator.  I am excited to be back after being on maternity leave for the second semester of the 2010-2011 school year.  I love being at the Outreach and am looking forward to my third year working with my Humanities counterpart, Clare.  In 2006, I graduated from the University of Alberta’s Secondary Education program with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Special Education.  In addition to being a wife and mom, I am currently in the throes of planning out my “life map” in order to complete my Bachelor of Science degree!

 One of my favourite things about teaching at STAR Outreach is the one-on-one learning opportunity available for each student.  I love guiding students to their “Ah-ha!” moments!  Over the last couple of years, I have learned so much about the high school math program that I have had countless moments myself!  Assisting students to develop their school plans and set goals for graduation is both a challenging and rewarding experience for me.
