As the Principal of Star Catholic Outreach School, my number one goal is that all students achieve Success! In an alternative educational environment through an ”outreach delivery approach” our students gain confidence by meeting their educational goals by having the opportunity to grow in their faith through their involvement with our caring and supportive staff. Regardless of their background or current circumstance, STAR Catholic Outreach School has assisted students in their quest for a High School Diploma and in preparation for their post secondary goals and into the world of work.

I would like to take this opportunity to Welcome all new and returning students to the STAR Catholic Outreach School and assure you that we will provide you with the following:

• Provide a welcoming, caring and non-judgmental environment for all students.
• Provide all students a second chance and to be able to assist them with their decision to continue with their education.
• Provide a well-equipped facility with recently added new technology and additional computer stations. It is a wonderful environment for learning.
• Provide all students with the skills to acquire motivation and self-discipline in order to become successful in the Outreach environment.
• Provide supportive staff members who are available to fulfill student needs.
• Provide all students with a safe, caring and relaxed learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one assistance to all students.
• Provide many new locally developed courses for a wider selection and to assist all students regarding interest and or achieving Diploma requirements.

As we begin the new school year, it is easy for us to know that we do reach our educational goals by watching our students leave the school after successfully completing a module or course with self confidence and a smile. If a student encounters a situation where extra support is required, the student has the assurance and encouragement from our staff members that they can succeed with additional effort and assistance. STAR Catholic Outreach School has a policy to ensure that each student achieves the acceptable standard on each module before receiving the next course module. This assessment practice has provided students with very clear expectations on the quality of work required to be successful.

We as the Star Catholic Outreach Team are looking forward to meeting and working with all of you. Have a great 2011/2012 school year!
